Innovate faster and save costs with BiomACS technology

BiomACS technology consists of a unique, proprietary screening platform capable of performing thousands of experiments simultaneously in a semi-automated manner, using relevant tissue cells and cell combinations on a specific material surface. The technology enables detailed analysis of how cells respond to different surface properties, thereby identifying the most optimal properties. The physical surface properties tested include surface structure, surface wettability, and stiffness, each across a wide range of values and in thousands of different combinations, reproducibly created in a fraction of the time required by current methods. With this cost-effective approach, BiomACS offers a much-needed solution to avoid adverse effects of medical materials. Until now, this approach was not possible without BiomACS technology. The technology was developed at the University of Groningen and the University Medical Center Groningen within the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
